    This has got to be the worst Mexican food I have ever eaten. I got the El Charro dinner and it came with a taco, enchilada, tamales, rice, and beans. Everything on that plate was tasteless. There was absolutely no flavor. Tamales were chewy and I could hardly break off a piece with my fork. The taco was ridiculous! There was a small amount of meat and the rest were lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes. I always get the horchata drink if it's available. Surprisingly, you get free refills here which is not common at other Mexican restaurants. However, it wasn't good so I really didn't need more than one glass. The drink left a weird after taste that I didn't like. The only things this place has going for it are the beautiful decor and our waiter did a fantastic job. The restaurant was beautiful inside and out. I liked the huge fish tank, the fountain covered in plants, cool light fixtures, and all the colorful art work on the walls. However, all that can't cover up the fact that the food was awful! And I'm not even a picky eater.

    Tried this place out last weekend. Ordered a chicken chimichanga. Seems like that would be a hard item to mess up. It tasted soggy, like it had been sitting for a while under the sauce. Rice was barely warm. I had asked for double rice instead of beans, they bring out beans anyway. Waitress said she'd bring me a side of rice. That took fifteen minutes. Had to ask to get a refill on my iced tea. They weren't even very busy. Food might have tasted good if it was hot, but who knows. Waitress didn't seem to care that I wasn't very pleased.

    Quality of ingredients was poor. I had the mojo de ajo shrimp. Shrimp tasted funky like it was old or left on ice to long and had rubbery texture. The rice was good but the lettuce and tomatoes tasted generic. I've had better food at Taco Bell.

    I came here with a fairly large group and the best part of the meal was probably the service. They were very attentive and the food came out quickly. I felt that the salsa and queso were bland and could use some work. Truly the queso was some of the worst I've ever had, very thick and seemed like it was from a can. I had the sour cream chicken enchiladas and there were alright, could've been worse. The rice and beans were typical and just okay. My margarita was just okay as well. I won't be returning because there are much better options for Mexican that I'm happy to pay for over this place.

    The building was pretty indeed. Our waiter sat us down and came back within minutes to ask us if we were ready to order, and, no, we were'nt. When he came back with our drinks and chips and took our orders, we no longer heard from him until our dinners were ready. By this time, our cups were low of water already. The food costs quite a lot for what I received. I wasn't very satisfied with the chips nor the salsa. The chips were thicker and harder than what I'm used to from other Spanish/Mexican restaurants that I've frequented, and the salsa was simply plain to me. I ordered the chicken enchilada and rice, which wasn't too bad.

    Love Milagros, always a quick, filling meal. Sometimes the staff isn't that knowledgeable (or English speaking) but they still know what you want. This is my favorite "eat alone" spot. Get the white sangria, fajitas are great. I can say without a doubt that this was the best visit I've had here-ever. My food was out within minutes and my server sat me in a booth even though I was alone. Nothing feels worse when you're eating alone and someone gives you a two sweater booth, just to reiterate. I'll keep this as my emergency lunch spot.

    I made the mistake of not believing the critical reviews and tried Milagros anyway. Ok, my fault for not springing for a quality margarita, I should have expected an out-of-the-box cheap taste for the house margarita. I just wish restaurants (Mexican ones in particular) made better margaritas than those that come out of grocery store margarita lime mixes. Would a little fresh lime juice hurt? Ok, on to the "setup" (watch out, if you don't order an entrée--like each person at the table order and entrée, you'll charged $5.99). My advice, at least order a meal that covers your setup fee, because if you had to pay for this cheese, you will be quite disappointed. (for free it's just crappy, but at least not disappointing for $). The cheese tastes like chicken stock mixed with corn starch for body. Wouldn't really call it cheese. Service: Odd. Confused. What service? It seems as the whole seating area was limited to the area around the bar, but it's not first come first served around the bar, only the actual bar-top is seat yourself. Entrée: Bland. Boring. Black beans were tasteless. Chimichanga was overwhelmingly beef, no flavor in the tortilla or friedness. Overall: if you are indiscriminating and believe "you've been to one Mexican restaurant you've been to them all," then this eatery will be just fine. If you seek something unique, original, and tasty...avoid. So where's my waitress, time to pay an get outta here.

    I was utterly disappointed in the food and service at this restaurant - so much that am actually taking the time to rate it online. The food was disappointing - the only flavor notable was the overuse of salt. The salsa was the best thing on the table. The white cheese queso was totally bland and inedible. The service was dismal as she was trying to serve 11 tables. We went at 6:30 and there was no waiting, but we waited on everything else - drinks, order, food, and check. We had to flag down the server for refills. We had both chicken and beef enchiladas, and neither was worth finishing. Save your time and money, you can get better at TacoBell.

    Incredible, gorgeous new building with pretty decent food priced to pay for their renovations. After reading on Yelp about Laredo Mexican Restaurant, I decided to drive up and give it a try. What I eventually found was that the place moved last September, having sold their original location at 63rd and Western to Chesapeake Energy. I also found that they had changed their name due to a lawsuit filed by El Chico, who basically insulted them, saying that their brand's rep (Cantina Laredo is owned by them) was being diluted due to Laredo not being worth a crap. Well, that's not what I found. Likes: This building is fantastic. It's by far the nicest restaurant environment that I have experienced in Mexican dining. The custom tile work is just awesome, and the architecture is exquisite. It's like a dream hacienda - really cool. As a note, it also has a beautiful covered patio for outdoor dining. As for the food, the salsa is spicy and flavorful, unlike many bland, overly tamed versions at many places. My wife said that her chicken quesadilla was the best that she has ever had - apparently the chicken melted in her mouth with char grilled flavor. Dislikes: The dishes are definitely priced to give this place a good return on investment. It wasn't ridiculous though. My biggest issue was that there was NO shredded beef AT ALL. I am a Mexican restaurant fan, and I have been to many, nearly always ordering (at least on my first visit) a shredded beef burrito. Many places have shredded pork, beef, and chicken available - this place did not appear to have anything but chicken in shredded form. That's a big downer for me, as I like both shredded pork and beef, and I eat them both in a variety of dishes. Aside from that, though okay, the queso and tortillas were mediocre, at least compared to the same at many local hot spots (Mamaveca, Ted's, etc.). I also am partial to the beans served at Mamaveca, Cafe Antigua, & Pepe Delgado's, and I was not very excited about Milagros. All in all, I very much liked the experience of Milagros, though their food is not the absolute best that I've had. I will return again, certainly, perhaps on a special occasion that merits a nice atmosphere. After experiencing this place for themselves, I'm sure that many people will wonder why I did not rate it higher. My response is that I value the flavor of the food that I am served more than the beauty of the building in which it is served. I also value great value and service, and both of these were not greatly above average when compared with Milagros' local competition.     Grilled Vegetables and Resetting the Mexican Bar Authenticity makes all the difference. Milagros was recommended by a lifelong friend who has lived in Latin America many years, appreciates great food and eating healthy. When he visits OKC this is where we go for Mexican. The decor is inviting, the service refreshing with a neighborhood family vibe and the food excellent. I especially appreciate the menu options - please, anything but the same old dry rice and re-friend beans - so I usually order the chicken enchilada and verde sauce (it's the best) with a healthy choice side of grilled vegetables (real grilled vegetables with broccoli, not the usual recycled fajita fixings). Drop in and check it out.

    Milagros is one of my favorite Mexican Restaurants. On the menu they offer Mole Chicken which is slow cooked, tender and quite delicious. The margaritas hit the spot and the sopapillas are big enough for two. The wait staff is conscientious and attentive. This reminds me of going to the old El Charito's in the OKC Paseo district 50 years ago. After reading their wall I find it's the same family, and same delicious food.

    Good Tex-Mex place, although it seems more Mex than Tex, which is great by me. Free chips salsa, queso etc for the table, the menu has a nice selection and the chili rellenos are my favorite in OKC. The exterior is kind of an eyesore, it's as if they really tried to make you look at it. Service was top notch, and the addition of their giant aquarium adds to the ambiance.

    Slow service at lunch on a weekday. I won't be back after they charged a set up fee when my co-worker and I split nachos and each had ice tea (which would have been 7 or 8 bucks a piece by itself).

    Walking up to Milagros, you see a huge mansion-like building A fountain Gorgeous façade and mosaics everywhere That's where the experience stops They seem to have put all the thought in their decor and aesthetic appeal than their actual product The menu was bare and generic Our food tasted like it was nuked in the microwave and with no flavor The bar had a tacky fridge/ice chest to keep the bar glasses cold The weird velveeta cheese dip they give you with the salsa was so horrible I thought it was a joke The corn tortillas weren't cooked on the grill, but of course-microwave The price was ridiculous for the quality We couldn't even eat it The smell was horrible and presentation left more than a lot to be desired We got it to go and left Please try to focus on your product I think that's one of the most important things in owning/operating a restaurant...you know The food

    Milagros has some positives and negatives as you can tell from the many reviews. Be careful! There are homemade tamales on the menu which are excellent (but also another tamale dishes that are not homemade...go figure. Be sure to ask which is which). I love that you can get grilled vegetables instead of beans or rice. Their salsas are good. The Caldo de Res is also a good choice. The sopapilla are huge and perfectly cooked, although there is a small charge for them.

    Poor service, food is subpar, decor is nice!!! Such a nice building and decor, nice aquarium, that's where the experience stops. We waited for ten minutes for someone to greet us, after the people behind us, who just got seated, were greeted and ordered. My money is as good as anyone else's, or better. Will never return, I hope this place fails. No need for this kind of service. Horrible!!!!

    The service is terrible. We came for lunch, were sat, waited 15 minutes for someone to greet us. A member of our party complained, and we continued to wait another five minutes before walking out and going to another restaurant.

    Was visiting Oklahoma and decided to eat here......worse mistake ever.....stuff was in my water....chips was nasty, waiter couldn't recommend any food and was charged $15.00 for soda and chip.....waiter would not bring manger to speak with us.....save your time and money, dont go!!!!!

    When you walk in, there is a beautiful fish tank and the decor is also wonderful. It is open and spacious. The food was great tasting and the server was attentive and kept us happy. They do have a set up fee where they charge if you don't order an entree. It is 5.99 for the chips and salsa, it may include tortillas. Sopapilla is huge!

    Usually go here during lunch or right after work and it's pretty good. Went there on a Saturday night and the table where we were seated was so wobbly I thought it was going to fall. We asked the hostess if we could sit at a table that wasn't broken and she said our waiter would take care of it and walked off. We asked our waiter and he told us there were seats in the bar (the other side of the restaurant) and walked off! My wife looked at me and said, let's leave. On the way out the hostess was leaning against her station chatting with a friend of hers. My wife told her we didn't eat and the hostess became snippy and said they were "short staffed." I said, "oh, that's really not our problem!" And we left. So. Very. Rude!

    Went to dinner with my family. Ordered The Juarez. The waiter had no idea what constituted the meal. Brought me some soppy taco and a cheese enchilada and kept telling me the guacamole was my soft taco. Poor response by management when trying to address. Will not be eating there again,

    As a restaurant owner having had my fair share of snarky Yelp reviews, I don't usually do feedback on place, especially if it's bad and could hurts someone's business. This place is my exception to the rule. The building is gorgeous and the huge fish aquarium was fun, but that doesn't make up for the service. The host seemed scared of his own shadow and actually knocked into a seated guest as he led us to our table. We were immediately given the chips, salsa and queso but waited 5 minutes for drinks. 25...yes 25 minutes later, our non English speaking waitress took our order. Our son ordered baby shrimp from the kids menu only to be told they are out. Not too big of a deal because as a restaurant owner I know it happens. I ordered sour cream sauce chicken enchiladas. The sauce came out with a neon glow to it. Luckily it tasted fine but was nothing exceptional. The refried beans were good but the rice was not. My husbands order came out wrong but the server did not understand English enough to fix it so we just accepted it. All in all this was a painful experience. Next time we'll go to Teds Esconidos.

    If I was easily amused I'd say how lovely the decor was; how tasty their French fries are; or perhaps how exciting it is to park in their crappy lot. Unfortunately I'm a jerk and realistic. We order food like we're reporting to Zagnat or the Dept. Of Health, ha. The rice is good, kinda like the short lived Mexican cantina in the mall. The lettuce on my plate was probably crisp at an earlier date but not when we met. The chicken tasted like boullion was involved in copious amounts. My husband however dug their chimi like a glittered up stripper. I think that might be due to his medication from Workman Comp... Either way it was amusing to see someone want a straw to finish their deep fried food.

    Omg, I ate there at lunch and I am not sure if my stomach will ever be the same. This is the worst food ever. I would prefer to give zero stars. This place should shut down so that somebody else who actually knows to cook can take over and run a successful establishment. Beautiful decor though - shame that they cannot cook.

    I have been on a search to find a good mexican restaurant in OKC. I'll tell you one thing, this is NOT it. First off, the food was mediocre at best. Not a lot of flavor. Second, the service was absolutely terrible. Took at least 5 mins to get someone to great us to get our drink order and then we were never checked on throughout our time there. Would not suggest this place. I'd rather go to Taco Bell. I would at least get better service there.

    When we opened the door to this beautiful building, we were greeted with one sticker that said, in so many words, that we were welcomed to bring in our guns. There was another sticker that said (again, paraphrasing) that if we should attempt robbery of the lovely Casa De Los Milagros, that it wasn't worth it because we'd get shot. This second sticker had a graphic that depicted the business end of snub nose revolver of some variety. So we walked in and waited a minute or so until we were greeted by the host. We requested a seat on the patio. After all, it was a lovely September Sunday at around 7 o'clock. He left for another couple of minutes and came back only to tell us that the waiter on the patio was too busy for us to sit there. We decided to leave, because we weren't lookin for any trouble.

    Had to eat here 4 times now because my church group keeps choosing it since they've got enough space for us. Disappointment awaits every time. Sure, it's pretty and a nice open environment. But the food gives tex mex a bad name. (Kudos to them for dealing with our big group every time though. The wait staff has been pleasant to work with.) There are limited vegetarian options. Don't even think about eating there if you're vegan. Spinach in enchiladas and etc is not fresh (prob frozen or canned). Cheese enchiladas have varied each time I've tried them. I guess if you take out the onions, you're left with little content. They used to serve cheese dip with the salsa and chips but I guess they don't offer that anymore. Otherwise, the salsa and chips are pretty tasty.

    This is my first review on Yelp. I don't like every restaurant I try but I also don't EVER have an experience so dreadful I feel compelled to tell the world about it. We were almost immediately seated and given our obligatory chips/salsa/queso. Good start so far. The decor was quite impressive so at least while we waited far too long for our actual server to greet us we had some nice scenery to look at. Anyway, I order the fish tacos now, I understand that fish tacos never really caught on down here(like on the West coast)so I don't expect perfection or anything close but, I also expect something edible. Preferably not damn near rotten. I'm a big eater and NEVER leave any food behind even if I can't finish. In the event I can't finish then I take home leftovers. Not this time. Left 1/3 of my tacos behind after somehow forcing down the first two without gagging. Seriously so bad I was worried that I may get food poisoning. Why did I eat 2 you ask? Cause I was famished and I figured perhaps it was a bad bite and then maybe a bad taco. Wrong. We told the waitress who was sweet but there was a language barrier and somehow the empathy was lost in translation. Shortly after we overhear a couple of other servers loudly complaining and swearing (while a family was nearby)about a customer who was there for 4 hours and only left a 3 dollar tip. Maybe she had the fish tacos?! Truly unprofessional. About 5 minutes later after debating on whether or not to say something to the manager which I literally have never done, we overhear the same two server loudly shout even more obscenities. This made our decision rather easy. To the manager we go! But alas, according to the hostess the manager wasn't even there of course. Why would he be?! So we were given a corporate number and a comment card. Needless to say we were not happy. And I didn't get sick somehow. Worst. Restaurant. Experience and food of my life. I'm 34 and eat out at least once a week. Don't waste your money. Trust me you'll regret it.

    I finally went to the Casa De Los Milagros after staying at te earby Hyatt Place for many years. I thought it was another mainstream-oriented Mexican resaurant. I was plesantly surprised to find Caldo de Rex (a Mexican beef and vegetable soup with rice and chiles on the side that you add to the soup). I ordered it and found it to ve one of the best I have ever had. I have eaten Meican food my entire life in LA and this caldo was first-rate. I don't know about the other dishes, but this was outtaning. The service is also exception.

    I've been here a couple of times for Sunday lunch, and I've been pleased. Nothing fancy by any measure, but good quality Tex-mex. On my last visit, I came in for a workday lunch. Sat at the bar and got served relatively quickly. Had the guiso de res. It was flavorful and well-prepared. There was nothing wrong with any visit, but this food merely met my expectations. It didn't blow me away; therefore, three stars. Good service, clean restaurant, okay food.
